The landscape all around is the quintessence of rural "salentinity": a continuous carpet of millenary olive trees and vineyards, studded with scattered hamlets and rows of cypresses, with the vast skies and horizons which are typical of this land.

The climate is mild in every season: the old and thick sandstone walls of the house temper the summer heat, such as do the luxuriant green of the 12 acre-plus estate and the unexpected presence of a brook nearby, whose microclimate gives amazing aspects and presences to the nature around and inside it;
the nearness of the sea allays the arshness of winter.

In the nearby village of Chiesanuova (1 km) you can find everything you need during a holiday: commodities, post office, bank, (catholic) church, doctor, chemist's, pizza-restaurant, tennis courts. Home-made local products are purchasable from numerous private producers or at "La Capasa".
